White Earth Tribal Health Systems begins clinic operations October 1

White Earth Tribal Health Systems is preparing to assume operation of the White Earth and Naytahwaush health centers on October 1, 2026. The transition follows nearly nine years of planning, community input and preparation.

The goal is to strengthen access to care through Tribal leadership, faster hiring and a health system that reflects the needs, values and priorities of White Earth communities. Patient eligibility is expected to remain the same, and services are not being reduced.

Existing services and scheduled appointments should remain in place unless a clinic contacts you directly. Patients should continue to contact their clinic for questions about appointments, current care or Purchased/Referred Care referrals.
